María is a Miami-based illustrator, art director, and senior designer originally from Argentina.
For almost seven years, she worked at The Washington Post, where she was an illustrator and senior designer for the Style section and collaborated with desks across the newsroom. Her tenure at The Post also included three years (2019–2022) as lead Art Director for The Lily, The Post’s award-winning publication dedicated to stories critical to women’s lives.
Before joining The Post, María worked with the marketing team at Florida’s Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, an 80-year-old nonprofit focused on preserving biodiversity. Previously, she worked for clients such as Cartoon Network, Discovery, Home & Health and Kellogg’s.
María holds a graphic design degree from the Fine Arts University of La Plata, Argentina, and specialized in illustration at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain.
